I am so excited to be back in school and I am looking forward to a great year! The past 2 weeks the Reading Specialists have been giving the students the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness test.  The teachers in PreK-2 use the Heggerty Program in their classrooms. It is proven that children who have strong phonemic awareness skills are better readers. It is a great program! Starting Monday, August 30^th the students in K-2 will be taking the MAP reading and math test. After  the testing is complete your child’s teacher will send home the results for you to look at.
