I grew up in Valliant, Oklahoma and attended Valliant Public Schools from K -12th grade, graduating in 1989. After high school, I attended Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas on a show choir and cheerleading scholorship and graduated in 1991. I moved on to Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education.
My family moved back to Sulphur in 2018. Since my husband, Linn Marshall, graduated from Sulphur in 1990 it has always been home to us. In my first year here I taught first grade and am now teaching Pre-K. Sulphur is a wonderful school district and my husband and I absolutely love teaching here and being apart of the community.
My first year out of college I taught at Sherman I.S.D. in Sherman, TX. One year at Washington Elementary School and three years at Jefferson Elementary School as a first and second-grade teacher. In 1998 my husband, twin girls and I moved to Dickson where I taught for 16 years. I taught Pre-K the first year and then Kindergarten for the following 15 years. In 2014, my husband received an offer to coach at Altus Public Schools in Altus, Oklahoma. There, I taught two years in Kindergarten and two years in Pre-K.
I have been married to Linn Marshall for 26 years and we have three amazing children together. I love spending time with my husband, kids and extended family! I also enjoy traveling, watching football games and shopping! Since I was a born and raised Sooner fan, my family and I love cheering on our Sooners at OU football games.
This year marks my 26th year of teaching. Throughout the years, I have taught Pre-K through 2nd grade and have absolutely loved every grade that I have taught. Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. It is a priviledge to watch my kids grow and learn.
Go Bulldogs and Boomer Sooner!
