8th Grade Science
I moved back home in 2013 to teach 7th grade science and have been here every since. I currently teach 8th grade science for the district. This is my 7th year in Sulphur Schools.
I began teaching in January of 1992. I was teaching one section of 6th grade science and 5 of seventh grade science. After that half year, I moved to teaching strictly 6th grade science. For the next 9 years, I taught and coached at Roosevelt Middle School in Oklahoma City. In 2001, my family moved to Denton Texas, and I taught 7th and 8th grade science as well as coached in Paradise Texas. I moved to Lewisville Texas after a year and spent 11 years there teaching Pre-Ap , ESL, and Inclusion Science.
I had a second job while in Texas at Hunting Learning Center. I was a tutor for Math and Reading as well as ACT and SAT Prep. Subject tutoring is also something I did while working there. I spent 10 years working here and use what I learned to help Sulphur High Schoolers with their ACT/SAT Prep and subject tutoring.
I have been married to my spouse for 27 years. We have 3 sons, two daughter-in-laws, and 2 grandaugthers. The boys are ages 35,33, and 26. I love animals and have numerous outside cats that I love to share with others. My mother lives here in Sulphur and is a constant supporter of me at the school and the students I teach. My mother-in-law doesn’t live in the district but is a huge supporter of Sulphur Schools and myself. She donates food items for fundraisers, school supplies, and comes as a guest speaker on snakes as she hunts them on a regular basis.
