Monday 27th:

4.  List the 4 rock types that form the Claron Formation.

5.  After looking at the pictures of the Hoodoos of Bryce Canyon, describe the Hoodoos in your own words (describe how they look, how large they appear, and how you think they would feel).

Math-Answer the following questions using the information that follows.  Apryl has 8 Sedimentary rocks, 12      Metamorphic rocks, and 15 Igneous rocks.
1. If she puts all of her rocks together in a box, what is the probability that she will pick out a Sedimentary rock without looking?
2. What is the probability from Question 1 written as a fraction?
3. How many more Igneous and Metamorphic rocks does Apryl have than Sedimentary rocks?
4. If Apryl puts all of her rocks together, does she have an even or odd amount of rocks?
5. How many rocks does Apryl have in all?

Math-Have fun multiplying!  Multiplying by 10 – 5th Grade Math Game

Science/SS-Look at the different Constellations and choose a few of your favorites.  Ask your parents for a few sheets of black paper and a push pin.  Using half a sheet of black paper, use a pencil to recreate your favorite Constellation.  Then gently use the push pin to create the “STARS” in your constellation (punch holes in the paper with the pin).  Recreate as many Constellations as you would like.  When finished tape them to a light on the ceiling, turn out the light, and enjoy the night sky!  Constellation Geoboard Template 1 Draco Ursa Minor Ursa Major Leo Cancer Lynx Gemini Auriga Camelopardalis Cepheus Casseopia Per. Friday 1st:

When you finish that, read a book of your choice outside! (Weather permitting, of course!)  

Language- Complete this Mad Lib about Space. Then make a Wacky Web Tale and read it to someone at home!  https://www.eduplace.com/tales/

Math- Plan a trip to Bryce Canyon. Your parents are giving you $500 to spend while you are there. You will be there for 5 days. Think of all the expenses you will have.  Make a list of how and what you will spend your money on? Don’t forget you have to EAT and SLEEP somewhere!  After making a list, did you have enough money? Did you have any left, if so how much? If you didn’t have enough, how much more would you need?
